Why can't I log in?
You would be unable to log in because of any of the following reasons:
1. You are not a registered user. You must first check whether you have registered or not. If not, then, you must register (Link to the DF home page for registration) in order to log in.
2. You have been expelled or disallowed by the forum administrator to be able to use the forum. Contact the Forum administrator. (Link to send a mail to administrator)
3. The username and the password entered by you are incorrect. Please ensure that the 'CAPS LOCK' is 'Off'. In case, you have forgotten the password click on the Forgot Password (link to the Forgot password on the DF home Page) link on the Discussion Forum Home Page. 4. If still not able to log in then contact the Forum Administrator there may be incorrect configuration settings for the forum.

How do I change my settings?
All your settings (if you are registered) are stored in the database. To alter them click the Profile (link to the Profile page in case the user is logged in or else show the login page with a message "You need to log in to be able to modify your profile!") link (generally shown at the top of pages but this may not be the case). This will allow you to change all your settings.

How do I post a topic in a forum?
You may need to register (Link to the DF home page for registration) before you can post a message. If already registered you need to log in(Link to the DF home page for logging in). To post a message you need to click on the "Post a New Message" button and then compose the message.

How do I edit or delete a post?
You can only edit or delete your own posts. You can edit a post (sometimes for only a limited time after it was made) by clicking the edit button for the relevant post. If you have a reply from another member you will get a mail in your mailbox and it will also be flashed on the page as you log into the forum. Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied.

Can I use HTML?
It depends on whether the forum administrator allows you to as they have complete control over it. If you are allowed to use it, you will probably find only certain tags, which you can use. This is a safety feature to prevent people from busing the forum by using tags, which may destroy the layout or cause other problems. If HTML is enabled you can disable it on a per post basis from the posting form.

What are Smileys?
Smileys, or Emoticons, are small graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code, e.g. :) means happy, :( means sad. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smileys, though, as they can quickly render a post unreadable and a moderator may decide to edit them out or remove the post altogether.

What are Locked topics?
Messages by either the forum moderator or forum administrator are the locked topics. You cannot reply to locked topics. Topics may be locked for many reasons.

Who is an Administrator?
Administrators is a person who has been assigned the highest level of control over the Discussion Forum. He can control all the operations, which include setting permissions, banning users etc.
